LVMH recruits the next president of Sephora for Europe and the Middle East at Lacoste. The luxury and cosmetics group has made official the arrival of Catherine Spindler, former deputy CEO of Lacoste, who will take up the position of president of Sephora in Europe and the Middle East as of 27 January.
Catherine Spindler, who also has experience in the luxury sector, has worked at Guerlain, where she was international product director. She also joined Yves Rocher, where she took on various roles, including group marketing director for Asia.
Now, Spindler will report to Guillaume Motte, Sephora's CEO from 2022, in a new role at Sephora that will begin in just over ten days' time. Motte's goal in his new role will be to ‘continue to scale Sephora's business with the improvement of the customer experience as a key focus,’ Motte explained in a press release issued by the company.
Sephora, which was acquired by luxury conglomerate LVMH in 1997, has 3,000 shops worldwide. The perfumery and cosmetics chain surpassed $10 billion in sales in 2023, pending final figures for 2024.
