Firmenich announced in a press release that the successful merger between DSM and Firmenich has resulted in the launch of a new company: dsm-Firmenich. As such, the new company comprises four business lines: firstly, perfumery and beauty, followed by taste, texture and health. The third business area of dsm-Firmenich is health, nutrition and care, and the fourth and final line is animal nutrition and care.
Firmenich has announced that its current co-CEO structure will change as of 1 September 2023, when the company finally completes its merger. Dimitri de Vreeze will assume the role of sole CEO at dsm-Firmenich, while Ralf Schmeitz has been appointed CFO. "This is the beginning of an exciting new time for our employees, our customers and our partners, as we go further in shaping a positive future for all and as we bring progress to life," said the company's future CEO.
Meanwhile, as reported by the international cosmetics news portal 'Global Cosmetics News', Geraldine Matchett has ended her contract with DSM to pursue her career elsewhere. "It has been a pleasure and a privilege to lead DSM with Dimitri and to help bring two great companies together," she said. "The merger of DSM and Firmenich is extremely exciting as it brings together very complementary cultures and capabilities. I look back with pride on all that has been achieved during my almost 10 years at DSM, and wish all my colleagues success in their journey ahead as DSM-Firmenich."
