The US cosmetics and luxury conglomerate appoints a new CEO. Stéphane de La Faverie is the new CEO of the company after having been a member of the group since 2011.
La Faverie has more than 25 years' experience in the luxury beauty sector and has become a professional in building and managing global brands. Since joining the group, he has stood out for his commitment to innovation and the pursuit of brand excellence.
In his new role as CEO of Estée Lauder Companies, he will oversee a broad brand portfolio that includes established and recognised brands such as Jo Malone Londos, KILIAN PARIS, Too Faced, LAB Series, as well as driving the growth of emerging brands such as The Ordinary and Le Labo.
Stéphane de La Faverie will take up the new role from 1 January 2025 and will succeed Fabrizio Freda, who expressed his intention to retire from the company's management earlier this year after more than fifteen years with the company. Le Faverie has already made his first statements following the announcement of the appointment and has welcomed Freda's guidance: ‘As we work together to regain our leadership position in the global luxury beauty sector, we will build on our family heritage, our extraordinary brands, exceptional talent, consumer focus and creativity - the fundamental elements that reflect our DNA. I am grateful to Fabrizio for his strategic guidance and look forward to working with him on a smooth transition.
