The Ordinary General Assembly of Beauty Cluster was held on Wednesday 19 April at the RCDE Stadium. As every year, it served to share with all the associates the strategic plan of Beauty Cluster, the upcoming activities and the roadmap to follow as an entity.
During the General Assembly, one of the points discussed was the change of mandate. Eva Lluch, owner and director of Lluch Essence S.L., until now president of the Beauty Cluster, handed over her position to Marc Crous, who was previously vice-president. In this way, the Beauty Cluster continues to fulfil its commitment to change and dynamism in the presidency, maintaining the parity of alternation that has been customary since its foundation in 2014.
Marc Crous from RNB will be the new president of Beauty Cluster
Marc Crous is Commercial Director at RNB, a cosmetics group of pharmaceutical origin that co-creates proposals for skin care and fragrances, among others, working together with customers and partners, providing comprehensive coverage to the development of cosmetic solutions.
Marc Crous assumes this new position with the illusion to follow promoting the development and competitiveness of the Spanish market of the cosmetic, perfumery and personal care such as it affirms: "it would like Me appreciate the confidence deposited in me to occupy the charge of president, in representation of RNB, in a so important institution for our sector as it is the Beauty Cluster. From the company face this challenge with the illusion to follow promoting the development and the competitiveness of the Spanish market of the cosmetic, the perfumery and the personal care under pillars so important like the innovation, the internationalisation and the digital transformation", explains the current president of Beauty Cluster and commercial director of RNB.
New incorporations in Beauty Cluster's board
The board of the Beauty Cluster has welcomed two new members that will join to the current team: Ambra Orini, Co-Founder and CEO of The Beauty Makers and Alfonso Álvarez-Prieto, CEO and Founder of Scentmate by Firmenich. The incorporation of both will add value especially in the area of communication, trends and digitisation of the sector.
Ambra Orini has 20 years of experience in the international cosmetics sector. From her beginnings in packaging and formulation to the present day, her career has been marked by a passion for the cosmetics sector throughout its value chain. This vocation has led her to broaden her 360º experience to include brand strategy, digital marketing and communication. Based in Barcelona and connected to the international industry, she is an expert in beauty brand strategy.
Alfonso Álvarez-Prieto has extensive experience in strategic and leadership roles in multinationals and banking. In 2018, his training and professional experience will take him to the world of Fragrances at Firmenich. In 2021, thanks to his strong drive for innovation and digitalisation, Álvarez-Prieto founded and scaled a completely innovative business model in the fragrance industry dedicated to entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises: Scentmate by Firmenich.
Open position on the board
Added to these changes, the Beauty Cluster took advantage of the General Assembly to announce a vacancy in the managerial board. All the partners of the Beauty Cluster will be able to exert his right to the vote to choose to the new member of the managerial board.
