L'Occitane appoints new Managing Director Global Travel Retail

The French giant has hired Evelyne Ly-Wainer, who has been with Shiseido and L'Oréal

L'Occitane has appointed Evelyne Ly-Wainer as managing director, global travel retail. 

The French group explains that Ly-Wainer will bring experience to the role and help position the brand within the travel retail segment. Ly-Wainer has been in this position for 20 years. In addition, Evelyne has worked in travel retail in the Asia Pacific region, as Brand General Manager for Kiehl's and Biotherm, and as Marketing Director at Lancôme. 

Ly-Wainer's strategy aims to move towards sales, business and marketing growth that will generate increased revenues. 

L'Occitane CEO Laurent Marteu has expressed his satisfaction with Ly-Wainer's new role in the company: ‘Under Evelyne's leadership, I am confident that our portfolio of brands will be further leveraged on the global stage and that her strategic vision and passion for excellence will drive our group's continued growth and success in the dynamic world of travel retail."
