Ghd appoints a new general manager for Spain and Portugal. Oliva Manjón will now lead the brand in both countries. Manjón has more than 20 years of experience in the luxury beauty industry and will drive the growth and consolidation of the hair care brand in Spain and Portugal.
Olivia Manjón joins Ghd to help strengthen its position and succeeds Thys Niermeyer after 13 years at the helm of the Iberian region. Niermeyer has managed during his time at the helm of the company to triple net revenues and increase profits sixfold, consolidating Ghd's position in the professional hairdressing sector in Spain. Niermeyer now assumes a new professional stage from the Wella Company's headquarters in California from where he will manage Ghd's operations in the North American market.
Manjón, for her part, expects it to be ‘an exciting and unique project’. Olivia's main objectives are to be close to her clients and the reality of the consumer in order to respond quickly to market needs and growth opportunities.
