L'Oréal Spain has appointed Rocío Valenzuela to head the dermatological division in Spain and Portugal. Until now, Valenzuela has held the position of transformation director of the FMCG division worldwide.
Valenzuela will replace Philippe Mottard on her return to Spain. Mottard has been in charge of leading the dermatological division in Spain and Portugal for six years, and will now be general manager of the same division in France.
Rocío Valenzuela began her career at L'Oréal more than 20 years ago, and in 2015 she was appointed General Manager of the FMCG Division in Spain. Later, she was appointed Deputy General Manager of the Western Europe Area, before taking up her latest position as Global Head of CPD Transformation.
In the statement released by the company, Valenzuela admits to being happy to be back home and excited to face new challenges: "I face this new challenge with great enthusiasm and with the pride of leading a great pioneering team in health and beauty, which aims to accompany health professionals to change people's lives and increase access to skin health".
L'Oréal has four additional brands in the dermatological division: La Roche-Posay, Skinceuticals, Cerave and Vichy. L'Oréal's dermatological division has consolidated its position, reaching a record level of prescription share and doubling its turnover to more than six market share points.
