Vytrus Biotech, a company specialising in active ingredients derived from plant stem cells for the cosmetics industry, has announced the appointment of its CEO, CSO and co-founder, Òscar Expósito, as the new president of the Spanish Association of Cosmetic Ingredients (AEIC).
With more than fifteen years of experience in the sector, Òscar Expósito, assumes this new role with the objective of strengthening the cosmetic ingredients sector in Spain and Europe.
Òscar Expósito, who has led innovation in sustainable active ingredients for the dermo-cosmetic sector, faces new challenges as president of the AEIC. His main objectives include growing membership and strengthening the connection between cosmetic ingredient manufacturers in Spain and Europe. ‘One of my main challenges will be to increase the number of member companies, which will allow us to offer more services and greater representation in Europe," says Òscar Expósito.
The appointment of Òscar Expósito as president of the AEIC marks the beginning of a key stage in promoting the visibility of the Spanish cosmetics industry and boosting its growth and innovation in Europe. Expósito will focus on strengthening technical working groups, improving communication between Spain and Europe on regulatory matters, and promoting innovation and sustainability in the sector. These efforts aim to consolidate AEIC as an international reference.
