Japanese giant Shiseido has a new CEO. The company has announced that Kentaro Fujiwara will take over the role of CEO from 1 January 2025. Fujiwara will take over the leadership of the company following the departure of Masahiko Uotani, who will step down as CEO at the end of the year, although he will remain linked to the company as a director. 

As noted by the company, the company expects Fujiwara to help strengthen Shiseido's innovation and growth based on his leadership and industry knowledge. 

The company has worked in the plan of succession during five years, and is that, as it aims Modaes, from the past 2019 the Japanese group of cosmetic has been deploying a plan of succession of until five years for the adviser delegated.

The one who finally will assume the charge, Fujiwara, was appointed candidate to adviser delegated, president and director of operations of the company. The group of cosmetic indicated that Uotani would withdraw of his charge in December of 2024.
