Unilever has appointed a new research and development (R&D) director for its Prestige division. Jean-Phillipe Courtois has been chosen to assume this role after having more than 25 years of experience in the cosmetic ingredient manufacturing sector.

Courtois was previously in the Prestige division, but as R&D Strategy and Operations Lead. With this move, Unilever seeks to make a leap in its Prestige division portfolio with its brands such as Tatcha, Hourglass Cosmetics, Living Proof, Murad, Dermalogica and REN, and also in hair care such as K18, which was incorporated in December.

Courtois has announced this new step in his professional career through LinkedIn and has explained that he is very excited to start this new challenge and assume this position at Unilever.
