Druni shoots up its profit in 2023. As published by the newspaper Expansión, following the merger between Druni and Arenal, the company dedicated to the distribution of perfumery and cosmetics has seen its profit increase compared to the corresponding year of last year.

According to the data provided to the Commercial Registry, the company ended the 2022 financial year with a turnover that reached 575 million euros, which means an increase of 35% compared to the same period of 2021. In this way, the company consolidated its highest turnover with a net result of 44% and with a profit that was close to 17 million euros, making it its highest profit to date.

By also counting the establishments owned by Arenal, Druni increased its points of sale to 350 and also opened new shops during the same period due to the growth in sales. The Valencian perfumery and cosmetics chain also took advantage of 2022 to improve its online shopping experience and offer more alternatives.

Last June, Druni and Arenal joined in a joint venture to form a new group with a turnover of around 800 million euros. Both distributors intended to combine the businesses of Druni and Arenal to form a new group following the joint venture with Mc Sonae, which contributed its stake in Arenal and an extra investment. With this operation, Druni operated as the leader of the group with 50% ownership. MC Sonae owns the supermarket chain Continente, the parapharmacy retailer Wells, which has 300 physical points of sale in Portugal, and in 2019, it acquired a majority stake in Arenal.
