The aim of this partnership is to jointly lead advances in the production of botanical ingredients. dsm-firmenich seeks to expand and explore the limits of innovation in this area and create new dimensions in olfactory richness, always prioritising sustainable innovation.
As the company explained, this collaboration aims to pioneer an ingredient programme focused on phenotype evaluation and plant performance. With Interestellar Lab's expertise in biotechnology, it aims to reduce the climate impact of agriculture and preserve biodiversity in critical ecosystems.
Interstellar Lab specialises in the development and operation of advanced biofarming platforms to accelerate plant growth and trigger the production of specific molecules. Its controlled biofarms optimise energy and resource consumption, capture CO2 and significantly improve the life cycle assessment of ingredients.
