Givaudan is moving ahead with its 2025 strategic plan. The Swiss giant announced this week that it has taken over the entirety of Italian colour cosmetics brand b.kolormakeup & skincare. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed by either of the two parties involved.

The Swiss fragrance house, in its roadmap, set as one of the main objectives to be achieved in its 2025 strategic plan to increase its presence in cosmetics and other beauty categories.

In 2021, Givaudan acquired 25% of b.kolor, leaving 75% of the remaining shares to the owners of the Italian brand founded in 2000 in Milan, Italy, and employing more than 300 people. b.kolormakeup & skincare stands out for its formulation and skincare application capabilities.

Maurizio Volpi, President of Givaudan's Fragrance and Beauty division, said it was a great achievement for the Swiss giant: "After three years of success and sponsorship with b.kolor, the completion of the acquisition with b.kolor is exceptional. We will generate additional value for our consumers by sharing our creative and innovative capabilities by offering excellent design and combining the highest level of science."

Markus Rassmann, Head of Active Beauty at Givaudan added that they are pleased to expand their beauty business and that this acquisition will also serve to position the Swiss company as a leader in the make-up and skincare categories.
