Investindustrial acquires Eurovetrocap

Investindustrial is betting on becoming a strong player in the cosmetics sector. The Italian Bonomi family's private equity firm has acquired a majority stake in Eurovetrocap, the leading cosmetic packaging integrator. The transaction was formalised through Luxury Cosmetic Solutions Investments.

Eurovetrocap is active in the development, finishing and distribution of glass, plastic and aluminium packaging for the skin care, make-up and pharmaceutical markets.

The company, as reported by the Economist, produces more than 280 million units a year and serves more than 3,000 customers in more than 90 countries. It has a turnover of more than 120 million euros and 140 employees.

Investindustrial already acquired Virospack in 2023 by buying 51% of the company. As El Economista explains, the combination of the sales forces between Eurovetrocap and Virospack will improve market reach, according to the private equity manager to deepen relationships with both large beauty groups and independent brands.

Last year, the Bonomi family also bought Delta Tecnic, which specialises in the production of customised colour and additive masterbatches for a variety of industries.
