The Seville-based company Persán has signed an agreement with the Swiss retailer Migros to acquire Mibelle Group, a company specialized in personal care and cosmetics, home care, nutrition, as well as the development of active ingredients.
As reported by the news agency Europa Press, the Spanish company will take over all employees and facilities of Mibelle Group in Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States, and Australia. However, the agreement does not include Mibelle Group's South Korean subsidiary, Gowoonsesang Cosmetics, which was acquired by L'Oréal in December 2024.
This new move for Persán represents a significant step in the internationalization of the company. The group has more than 2,000 employees and three plants in Seville (Spain), Wróblowice (Poland), and Saint-Vulbas (France). With the 1,400 employees from Mibelle Group, Persán will surpass 3,000 employees and its revenue will exceed one billion euros.
The CEO of Persán, Antonio Somé, explained that "we are very pleased to announce this agreement with Migros that will help Persán strengthen its international presence. The acquisition of Mibelle Group will allow us to access new technologically advanced categories and continue developing innovative and quality products for all our customers. Mibelle Group shares values and strategic vision with Persán, so we have no doubt that this operation will be beneficial for all parties. In this new stage, we will maintain the identity markers that have brought us here: a commitment to people, innovation, technology, and sustainability. We look forward to exploring the opportunities that this historic step brings".
Matthias Wunderlin, head of Migros, also explained that this new step offers Mibelle the possibility of having a new owner who will accompany it in its growth and international expansion strategy with greater success in the future.
