Pierre Fabre Laboratories has announced the acquisition of shares in MiYé, the French brand dedicated to skin care and nutritional supplements for women's well-being. Pierre Fabre Laboratories thus becomes the sole minority shareholder of MiYé, alongside its two co-founders.
This first capital increase, as communicated by Pierre Fabre Laboratories, will help accelerate the development of the brand created in 2020, which will be able to benefit from Pierre Fabre's extensive experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical market. This move will enable MiYé to increase its investment in R&D, conduct clinical studies, strengthen the scientific and medical endorsement of its flagship products and continue its development in the pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical markets.
Pierre Fabre Laboratories justifies this move on the grounds that the company has always prioritised women's health in its portfolio of pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetic brands. Through this investment, Pierre Fabre continues its strategy of acquiring stakes in start-ups that meet the market positioning that is in line with its principles.
The most immediate plans of the French company, which has been in the cosmetics business for just three years, are to prepare the development of an awareness and personalised support programme through online consultations with naturopaths and micronutritionists.
"Hormonal balance is one of the major challenges that dermo-cosmetics must address. With MiYé, Caroline de Blignières and Anna Oualid have found a way to support women from puberty to menopause. They have created a brand with a strong territory, with specialised and differentiating products that are now appreciated by consumers, such as the Happy Cycles serum," explained Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosmétique CEO Frédéric Ennabli. He also said he is committed to working with MiYé to bring its extensive knowledge and expertise to develop the best skincare solutions.
