Safic-Alcan, the distributor of speciality chemicals for the cosmetics industry has acquired a majority stake in Avees Biocos Private Limited, one of India's leading distributors of personal care chemicals.
The company was started in 2007 by Rahul and Deepti Sawne and under their leadership Avees Biocos laid the foundation as a perfect partner to help source technologically advanced ingredients and help formulate unique cosmetic products.
Avees offers products such as biopolymers, preservatives, emollients, sensory modifiers, UV filters, active ingredients for skin and hair care, emulsifiers, fragrances and functional polymers. Located in Gurugam, Avees has a state-of-the-art innovation centre to develop unique formulation solutions for its customers.
