Trinity will be proprietary of Clarel. The Colombian company will be the owner of Clarel afterwards that the National Commission of the Markets and the Competition have given green light to the operation of purchase of lac chain Clarel, that was up to now, property of Dia.
On 14 February the CNMC authorised in first phase the taking of control in scoop of the shops of perfumery of Dia. The past 5 December, as we explained in Next in Beauty, Dia sold Clarel to the Colombian group by more than 40 million euros that will receive in several terms until 2029. With this, the Colombian group Trinity, will do with the control of 1.000 points of sale in Spain and with three big centres of distribution.
Omar González, president of Trinity Group, highlighted the multiple business opportunities offered by Clarel, which aims to make it one of the most valued and loved brands by Spanish consumers.
This approval brings to an end Dia's journey through the sale of its Clarel business, which began in December 2022. At the end of June 2023, it seemed to have everything tied up with a capital investment fund C2 Private Capital, a transaction that was cancelled because the entity failed to comply with some of the clauses necessary to carry out the operation.
