The countdown begins. AITEX will be holding its third Cosmetics Industry Congress on Thursday 19 September. On this occasion, it will focus on Cosmetology and new horizons in care and beauty. The Congress, which will take place in Alcoy (Alicante), will start at 9:00h and will last until 17:00h.
This third edition will have the collaboration of the Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SEQC), the National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics (STANPA) and the Beauty Cluster. It is aimed at all companies and professionals in the cosmetics sector and is free of charge, with prior registration, which is carried out at the this link.
Cosmetology will be the main theme of the congress
Cosmetology has been the theme chosen for the third edition of the Congress organised by AITEX, under the title ‘Cosmetology: new horizons in care and beauty’.
The latest updates in cosmetology will be on the table: techniques, tools needed to care for the skin and improve hair... It will also show which products, treatments and beauty routines are now in fashion. All this, under an innovative approach in which the latest news in regulatory matters and latest trends will also be discussed, with a space for networking for those attending the event.
One of the main novelties incorporated by AITEX is the participation of Boticaria García, a doctor of pharmacy, nutritionist and social media communicator who has accumulated a mass of 600,000 followers on social networks.
Regulatory, trends, investigation and innovation
The III Cosmetics Congress will be divided into two distinct parts: in the morning, there will be lectures by experts from the cosmetics industry, in which cosmetology will be discussed from the point of view of regulation, market trends, research and innovation.
- Regulation: Mercé Camps will talk about the latest updates and modifications in Regulatory.
- Trends: at this point, there will be a presentation dedicated to current market data on cosmetics, professional cosmetics, trends in cosmetology and data on the use of appliances as complements to routines.
- Research and innovation: the different methods of technology used in the field of cosmetics and, in this case, for the studies carried out by AITEX on cosmetic efficacy will be presented. AITEX will explain the procedure of these efficacy studies for cosmetic products with cutting-edge technology and the advances derived from the SPF studies will also be explained by María Blanes, head of the AITEX cosmetics group, together with Isabel Soriano, deputy director of laboratories and international offices.
Boticaria García and her presence in the programme is, without a doubt, a plus in this third edition. The doctor of pharmacy and nutritionist will talk about the importance of communicating well in our sector in her talk ‘Science and communication: the perfect cosmetic formula’. Thanks to her experience as a communicator, she will share with the audience the main points to ‘process’ technical and scientific information and make it suitable and understandable for a general public.
This first part of the event will close with a round table of experts in the sector in which cosmetics and the virality of social networks will be debated. The round table will be moderated by Sara Jiménez, director of communication of Beauty Cluster and will be attended by Boticaria García, Mª Aurora Benaiges, president of the SEQC, Eliseo González, head of Inspection of the Valencian Health Agency and Andrés López, technical director at Babaria.
The congress will end at 17:00h, after a networking lunch and a visit to the new AITEX facilities, where the main novelties of the cosmetics laboratory will be presented.
