The countdown begins for the sixth edition of the AITEX Business Awards. These business awards led and created by AITEX arose in 2018 with the aim of promoting the dynamization of the Valencian business fabric, boosting industrial growth and helping companies to be more competitive by finding new solutions to new challenges. Five editions later, the Business Awards have been consolidated at a national level, recognising the work of companies and contributing to their development and projection in the fields of innovation, sustainability and research. Whether in the textile, cosmetics or other sectors, encouraging interaction with different audiences and aiming to make companies more competitive, finding new solutions to new challenges and boosting industrial growth. 

The AITEX Business Awards are part of AITEX's Business Revitalisation actions. This year marks the sixth edition of the AITEX Business Awards. The call for nominations ends on 23 September 2024.

100,000€ in prizes with three winners in each category

he awards gala will be held on Thursday 21 November at AITEX and a total of €100,000 in prizes will be awarded. In each category, there are three winners: in textile and cosmetics, a first prize of €20,000, a second prize of €10,000 and a third prize of €5,000. In the entrepreneurship category, there is a first prize of €15,000, a second prize of €10,000 and a third prize of €5,000.  

What are the participation modalities?

AITEX AWARD FOR INNOVATION AND/OR SUSTAINABILITY IN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY 

The prizes will be awarded to textile companies that have boosted their business activity in one of the following fields:  

  • Development of a product or production process with a high degree of innovation.  
  • Eco-efficient management of a product or production process that actively contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection. 

AITEX AWARD FOR INNOVATION AND/OR SUSTAINABILITY IN COSMETICS 

The prizes will be awarded to companies in the cosmetics sector that have boosted their business activity in one of the following fields:  

  • Development of a product or production process with a high degree of innovation.  
  • Eco-efficient management of a product or production process that actively contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection. 

AITEX AWARD FOR THE BEST ENTREPRENEURIAL INITIATIVE 

Prizes will be awarded for creativity, business innovation and the implementation of new business ideas. This award is aimed at companies incorporated in 2021, 2022 or 2023 and residing in Spanish territory. 

More than 280 national companies have presented themselves in the previous editions 

In these five editions, more than 280 national candidate companies have been presented, 25 companies have been awarded and €270,000 in prizes have been distributed. In 2023, a total of 122 companies from all over Spain applied (an increase of 60% compared to 2022): 40 in the textile category, 32 in the cosmetics category and 50 in the entrepreneurship category.   

Of these 122 companies, 39% were from the Valencian Community and 61% from outside the Valencian Community, with Madrid and Catalonia being the Autonomous Communities with the most participating companies in the 2023 edition. From Madrid, 17 companies presented themselves (8 entrepreneurship companies, 4 textile companies and 5 cosmetics companies). 

Participation requirements

Participation is open to companies whose head office is located in Spain. In order to take part in the competition, companies must present all the documentation required in the terms and conditions of the aforementioned competition.  

An expert jury made up of top-level representatives from the textile, cosmetics, institutional and business sectors will evaluate the proposals submitted from that day onwards. This will take into account the value proposal, its innovation or environmental impact, the results obtained, its socio-economic footprint and the quality of the proposal presented.
