AITEX launches the sixth edition of its Business Awards. This new edition comes with two main novelties: the economic amount to be distributed among the winners rises in this sixth edition to 100,000 euros and becomes the highest of all editions. And the second is that, for the first time, there will be three award-winning companies in each of the three categories: textile, cosmetics and entrepreneurship.
In the textile and cosmetics category, there will be a first prize of €20,000, a second prize of €10,000 and a third prize of €5,000. For the entrepreneurship award, the first prize will be €15,000 for the winner, €10,000 for the second prize and €5,000 for the third prize.
The awards have established themselves as an essential event for the cosmetics and textile sector and last year attracted more than 120 entries, an increase of 60% over the previous year.
The categories for participation in these awards are as follows:

AITEX Award for innovation and/or sustainability in textiles. These prizes will be awarded to textile companies that have boosted their business activity in one of these fields:
- Development of a product or production process with a high degree of innovation.
- Eco-efficient management of a product or production process that actively contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection.

AITEX Award for innovation and/or sustainability in cosmetics. The prizes will be awarded to companies belonging to the cosmetics sector that have boosted their activity in any of the following fields:
- Development of a product or production process with a high degree of innovation.
- Eco-efficient management of a product or production process that actively contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection.
- AITEX Award for the best entrepreneurial initiative: creativity, business innovation and the implementation of new business ideas will be rewarded. This award is aimed at companies incorporated in 2021, 2022 or 2023 and residing in Spanish territory.
The deadline for entries and nominations is 23 September 2024 and companies whose head office is located in Spain are eligible to participate. The jury is made up of leading experts from the textile, cosmetics and business sectors.
