Beiersdorf is committed to continuing to grow in Spain. The cosmetics group, which owns brands such as Nivea and Eucerin, is to set up in the second half of the year in Barcelona's technology district, specifically in the Alt Building.

As reported by the Catalan media ‘Metropoli’, the cosmetics company has leased an entire floor of the building. This building is located in a business complex in the city of Barcelona, the Selva de Mar Business Campus, which has 30,000 square metres and belongs to Acciona and the real estate investment manager Tristan Capital Partners.

With this news, Beiersdorf lands in one of the most important business areas of the Catalan city.

The owner of Nivea already has offices in Barcelona, although somewhat more decentralised from the city centre. Specifically, they are located in Argentona, where the German group has been manufacturing its dressings for more than sixty years. The factory received an investment of 9 million euros this year to extend the surface area and has decided to take the step of opening the new offices.

Beiersdorf is thus demonstrating its commitment to expanding its business in Spain and wants to have a production network ready for the future. Last year, its turnover exceeded 9,000 million euros. In 2024, it raises its sales forecast for 2024 after an increase in the first quarter driven by the Nivea brand. The German company expects sales to range between 6 and 8% and is up 1 to 3 points from the initial sales forecast.
