The cosmetic industry is characterized by its great capacity to adapt to changes and for being a very competitive market in constant evolution. If you are part of this booming sector, you surely already know the latest trends and innovations, underlined by personalization and digitization such as artificial intelligence, and new technologies such as biotechnology, supported by sustainability, which minimize the environmental impact.

However, as expected, laws and regulations usually follow a slower pace of evolution. The last update of the EU Regulation on Cosmetic Products No. 1223/2009, came into force on July 11, 2013. More than 10 years have passed and the Regulation is currently under review to assess the safety of ingredients, sustainability, digitization, economic impact and competitiveness of the sector.1

Next May 13, 2025 in Barcelona, we have a date with the best professionals in the cosmetic sector, to debate, analyze and reflect on European regulatory standards from a perspective of leveraging and improving the competitiveness of the national sector. By attending the first edition of the Spain Cosmetic Ingredients | Regulation Summit, organized by AEIC and Beauty Cluster, you can resolve all your doubts with the experts.
