Dermaclaim celebrates its third anniversary and achieves ISO 27001:2022 certification

The Valencian laboratory will also participate in Cosmetorium and in-Cosmetics Asia

07 of October of 2024
Dermaclaim will be at Cosmetorium and in-Cosmetics

The Valencian laboratory specialising in dermo-cosmetic research, Dermaclaim, is commemorating its third year of operations since it began its activity on 1 October 2021. Throughout this period, the company has managed more than 570 projects, of which 59 are ongoing, and has carried out tests on almost 900 products for more than 120 clients, both national and international. Thanks to its intense pace of work, Dermaclaim has established itself as a benchmark in the development of efficacy and functionality tests on active ingredients, cosmetic products and oral supplements, covering both in vitro bioassays and clinical studies on human volunteers.

David González, CEO of the company, recalls the company's beginnings: ‘When we started in October 2021, we didn't have a concrete business plan in mind. We simply wanted to do as much as possible in the best possible way and let the market dictate the way forward. Now, three years later, it is clear that our efforts are paying off. Customers all over the world rely on us to validate the efficacy of their products, and this shows that we are serving them well. We will continue to maintain the same philosophy of effort, thoroughness and quality to continue to grow with our customers. Although the coming year will be challenging due to the construction of the new facilities, we will manage this situation without affecting the ongoing projects, which is the most important thing and why our customers rely on us"

In its commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, transparency and reliability in its results, Dermaclaim recently obtained ISO 27001:2022 certification, which guarantees a comprehensive approach to information security, covering human, technological and quality policy aspects. This accreditation is in addition to ISO 9001:2015, obtained in 2022 and reviewed annually, as well as Crédit d'Impôt Recherche (CIR), a certificate obtained at the end of 2023.

Dermaclaim's success is also reflected in its financial growth, with a projected 35% increase in turnover by the end of 2024. This growth has enabled the addition of two new employees, a research assistant with expertise in digital marketing and photography for the clinical department, and a research technician specialising in cell culture and molecular biology for the laboratory department. Despite current space constraints, the company will end the year with 11 employees, reaching the targets set for early 2024.

With a view to further expanding its national and international presence, Dermaclaim will exhibit its testing services at the Cosmetorium event in Barcelona on 23 and 24 October (stand 424, Floor -1) and at Incosmetics Asia in Bangkok from 5 to 7 November (stand A60, Spanish pavilion).
