Dia Has cancelled the sale of Clarel at the end C2 Private Main. The chain of supermarkets has suspended to the operation after not to fulfil a series of requirements demanded by part of the National Commission of the Stock market, as it has advanced the agency of news Europe Press.
The past month of June, as we explain in Next in Beauty found irregularities in the agreement signed between the supermarkets Dia and the bottom of private capital, by means of the which, C2 Private Main would purchase 1015 points of sale of Clarel. To the not to fulfil the conditions established an extention with the aim to solve it and that the operation remained resolved to finals of this 2023.
In December of 2022, Dia closed the sale with the bottom of capital by an amount that reached the 60 million euros.
Yesterday it was the last day of term of the extention stipulated so that C2 Private Main fulfilled all the necessary requests to continue forward with the operation. Finally, it has not been like this, and the agreement has happened to be resolved. It is thus that the group DIa has communicated that they are valuing a series of alternatives and strategic options to restart the sale of Clarel and that will inform to the competent authorities of the market when it take a concrete course.
In the month of April, the operation of Clarel received the 'green light' by part of CNMV, but paralysed because they still remained some fringes for resolving by not to have fulfilled the "conditions suspensivas". These "conditions suspensivas", as it aims the newspaper 'The Reason' refer to that the buyer needed to explain by the permission to effect the operation of the European Commission and adopt by part of C2 Private Main measures to ensure financially the commodities of Clarel.
