Eurofragance continues its global expansion strategy. The fragrance house has opened a new Creative Centre in Mumbai, India, with the firm objective of strengthening its presence in the booming Indian market.

For the company, this is a significant milestone and one from which it expects a good return and which it hopes will bring benefits to its portfolio of customers in India. This new centre offers more resources, capabilities and capacity that will help meet the needs of customers.

India is a country that is becoming a very attractive market for the cosmetics sector and for perfumery and fragrances. It is also at a point where the middle class is proliferating and becoming a business opportunity.  At the same time, the demand for premium products and innovative solutions is growing, and this fits with the strategic objectives of the fragrance house. Laurent Mercier, CEO of Eurofragance, stresses how important the milestone of opening a centre in the Indian market is for the company. ‘We recognise the incredible opportunity that the thriving Indian market represents. Indeed, operations in India began in 2020, and since then we have experienced exponential growth with remarkable post-pandemic acceleration. This strategic move highlights our commitment to addressing growth opportunities in dynamic economies and cements Eurofragance as a global leader in fragrance innovation,’ explained the company's CEO.

Eurofragance drives strategic growth in dynamic markets

The fragrance house now has four creative centres around the globe. They are located in Spain, Mexico, Dubai, Singapore, and now also in India. Eurofragance's General Manager in India explained that having this new centre will, among other things, help reduce the turnaround time of projects to customers closer to home: ‘This strategic move enhances our ability to create high quality fragrances and reduces the turnaround time of projects, which will also benefit our customers. With the same emphasis on personal and home care and fine fragrance categories, we can meet and exceed market demands while continuing to focus on our customers."

The centre, located in Mumbai, will follow in the footsteps of the Dubai centre. All Eurofragance Creative Centres are staffed by a team of perfumers, testers and scientists who create fragrances of the highest quality for different product categories. Each centre specialises in a product category at the top of the market and ensures that it creates tailor-made products for its clients' projects. Dolors Costa, Chief Fragrance Development and Innovation Officer, explains: ‘By opening a Creative Centre in India, we will be able to focus on meeting customers’ needs more efficiently, as well as to get deeper into the culture of Indian perfumery and share our expertise in innovation and quality ingredients with the market. Our Creative Centres are all connected, which also helps to consolidate the expertise of the Eurofragance global team and allows us to undertake projects around the world in different product categories, no matter where they are located, and that will benefit our customers in India’.
