  • What do you expect from this new edition of the Congress and how has it managed to expand and grow so much in just two years?

The sixth edition of the Barcelona Perfumery Congress (BPC) aims to establish itself as the most significant innovation event in perfumery in Europe. In just two years, it has tripled the number of international exhibitors, increasing from 30 in 2023 to 100 in 2025. This growth is due to the support of key industry leaders and the increasing demand for spaces for innovation and networking in the sector.

  • Why is it important for this Congress to be held in Barcelona and to become the epicenter of innovation in perfumery and fragrances for two days?

Spain is the second largest exporter of perfumes in the world, and Barcelona, as one of the main cities in the country, plays a crucial role in this prominent position. The city offers an inspiring environment with good weather, ideal for attracting professionals from around the world and fostering creativity and innovation in the sector, making it a strategic location for this congress.

  • What type of visitors will be at the fair?

The congress will attract more than 2,000 professional visitors, including perfumers, researchers, marketing experts, technologists, and representatives from raw materials and packaging companies. This event serves as a meeting point to share ideas and a powerful networking opportunity among the leading industry players.

  • Does Barcelona and Spain have a unique olfactory identity that distinguishes it from other cities in the world?

Barcelona and Spain have a rich olfactory tradition that is reflected in their culture and products. The city is known for its sensory diversity and its ability to create unique olfactory experiences. Spain remains in the Top 10 of the world's perfume and cosmetics exporting countries and is the fourth largest market in the EU.

  • Is this an event that serves to enhance the olfactory culture of the country?

Yes, the congress serves to enhance the olfactory culture of Spain, highlighting its innovation and tradition in the sector and its impact on the global industry. In a competitive city like Barcelona, olfactory marketing offers an additional advantage. Companies that use this strategy can stand out from their competitors by providing a unique sensory experience that attracts and retains customers.

  • As a main novelty, the creation of a space: The Fragrance Atelier, is this a new step within the organization of the congress to further adopt the 360° vision of the perfumery and fragrance sector?

The creation of the Fragrance Atelier is an important novelty in this edition. An exclusive space where niche and artisanal brands will allow you to discover perfumery from a new perspective. Innovation, creativity, and tradition merge in this 360° experience. Ultimately, it is a significant and enriching step within the framework of the BPC for the perfumery and fragrance industry. We hope to see you all there!
