Mel[o]stem™: Croda's award-winning asset for innovation

Croda's Mel[o]stem™ active ingredient, created by Sederma, continues to reap success and awards. Mel[o]stem™ is a unique ingredient that successfully fades both dark and whitish spots, and has garnered many notable awards in the cosmetic industry.

The active ingredient created by Sederma is obtained from plant cell cultures from Scarlet Bergamot leaves. It is an eco-responsible active ingredient that has been extracted through a biotechnological waste recovery process. Mel[o]stem™ is an adaptive and intelligent ingredient, which has been approved by Cosmos, and is unique in the treatment of dark pigmentation disorders, known as hyperpigmentationm and white or hypopigmentations. This active ingredient also manages to reduce oxidative metabolism and preserve the melanocyte microenvironment and repairs damage caused by UV rays and preserves solar capital.

Mel[o]stem™ won first prize in the BSB Innovation Award Environment last year 2023, in the category of Raw Material - Environment.
