The 35th edition of Infarma, held on March 25, 26, and 27 at Fira Gran Via Barcelona, has been one of the most participative and sustainable to date, consolidating its position as one of the key events in the European pharmaceutical landscape. With over 62,000 visitors, the fair has reflected the evolution of consumption habits and the growing interest in health and well-being from a holistic approach.

One of the major protagonists of this edition has undoubtedly been nutricosmetics, which has burst onto the scene as a rising trend. This growth responds to the increasing demand from consumers seeking solutions that work from the inside to improve aspects such as skin health, hair, nails, or even protection against solar radiation.

According to Fortune Business Insights, the global nutricosmetics market will continue to expand significantly in the coming years, reaching $11.24 billion by 2030. This context has favored its prominent presence at Infarma, positioning it as a strategic category for pharmacies.

Nutricosmetics: a new protagonist on the pharmacy shelf

Companies like MartiDerm have exemplified this trend with products such as their solar capsules, which prepare the skin for sun exposure, or Acniover, aimed at maintaining skin health after anti-acne treatments. Amatist also stands out, a line specifically designed for women in menopause, addressing specific needs of the skin and body at this vital stage.

In the same vein, Cumlaude Lab (Dermofarm) has presented supplements aimed at female well-being during menopause, focused on maintaining energy metabolism, bone and muscle health, as well as balancing the microbiota or reducing symptoms associated with this stage.

Hair care is also not left behind in this revolution. Brands like Olistic or Phergal, with their line E’lifexir Essential Hair Redensifying, have shown how nutricosmetics can be an ally in preventing hair loss and strengthening hair follicles.

A record congress for a transforming sector

With over 50 conferences and more than 100 speakers, Infarma has provided a platform for knowledge and innovation for pharmacists. “Tools and knowledge have been provided that allow us to remain a fundamental pillar of the healthcare system,” stated Núria Bosch, Congress Director. For his part, Jordi Casas, president of the Col·legi de Farmacèutics de Barcelona and Infarma Barcelona 2025, described this edition as “the most participative and innovative.”

Alongside nutricosmetics, dermocosmetics has continued to be another pillar of the event, with brands like Two Poles Cosmetics showcasing their latest launches and demonstrating their weight on pharmacy shelves with products aimed at solar and facial care.

Next stop: Madrid

The next edition of Infarma is already scheduled: it will take place on March 24, 25, and 26, 2025, in Madrid. “Once again, this edition has met all expectations and has been a new success,” concluded Manuel Martínez del Peral, president of the Official College of Pharmacists of Madrid.
