French cosmetics group L'Oréal has selected the Spanish capital as the location to launch its new 'Campus of Excellence in D2C eCommerce'. The objective of this new project carried out by L'Oréal will be to accelerate the company's capacity in the field of eCommerce, boosting both the offline and online consumer experience.
To this end, L'Oréal is counting on the presence of leading professionals in this digital area, which is becoming increasingly important in the cosmetics and beauty industry. The project is headed by Vincent Bézard, who has been appointed as director of L'Oréal's D2C Excellence Campus: "We are very pleased to be able to develop this project in Spain, which is now at the forefront of technological development in Europe, thanks to a large pool of highly qualified talent and a growing startup ecosystem," explained Bézard.
Juan Alonso de Lomas, CEO of L'Oréal in Spain and Portugal has expressed his gratification and satisfaction that Spain has been chosen as the headquarters "of the technological knowledge centre" that will create 40 new jobs in Spain. "That the group is betting on Spain as a European engine for the development of our capacity in D2C eCommerce. This project will allow us to create 40 new jobs now and we believe that in the future we will continue to increase multicultural digital profiles in Madrid," added Lomas.
