Paris welcomes "Tous au Parfum!", the international meeting for perfumery experts

'The International Perfume Foundation' celebrate its third 'New Luxury Awards' in the same framework

On 10 July, Paris received the first edition of "Tous au Parfum!", an international meeting between the main international protagonists in the world of the perfumery. In the event gathered experts that displaced from China, Australia, Dubai, Italy or United States, among others a lot of countries.

As it was the first event to be joined internationally by major players in the perfumery sector, Creezy Courtoy, founder of the IPF (International Perfume Foundation) did not hesitate to highlight the essence of the meeting: "We need more days like east for the debate. We need to join to all the actors that are partícipes in the industry and that are involved in the protection of the heritage of the perfumes, as well as the freedom of use of the natural products in Europe."The debate situated especially surroundings to the legislation by part of the European Union, the known as 'Green Pact' (received in the frame of the European Law of the Climate) that puts in difficulties to the cosmetic industry. This meeting point served to unify points of view and try join efforts to go all to the same direction: achieve a better future for the sector. They recognised some of the problems that suppose the last guidelines by part of the EU. The manufacturers of perfume see forced of constant way to experience with the formulas to adapt them to the legislation, and this is having an effect in the consumer: they do not recognise his perfumes.

The event received also the packaging, something indispensable in the sector of the perfumery. Thus, they showed the most stood out containers from the decade of 1920, up to now, without leaving overlook the evolution that will take the packaging in the future in matter of sustainability and recycling, something in what it is working as it admitted Courtoy. Veronique Coty, President of François Coty Association, exposed to the assistants the creation of the jar of his perfume "Spoturno", process that remained filmed and allowed to visualise as it learnt to create caps of frosted glass with an ancient free method of any material with plastic. All this process did it accompanied of some artisans, of which wanted to emphasize the importance to purchase his knowledges and procedures to the new generations to avoid his loss completely. Another of the thematic in which 'missed' elements of the past is in the preparation of these perfumes. Françoise Rapp expressed that, at present, the perfumer that attend to his course grieve have used natural elements and this causes a deep ignorance in the matter.

THE THIRD EDITION OF THE NEW LUXURY AWARDS OF PERFUMES And PACKAGING SUSTAINABLE

Also in Paris, with so alone 2 days of difference, celebrated the third edition of these prizes organised by the International Foundation of the Perfume. The awards, that award with the aim to promote the creativity of the perfumes and also of his packaging, have to go in inside the frame of the standards of sustainability based in the authenticity, the integrity and the transparency. But definitely, search also promote to the brands and empower to new perfumers, designers and also to the future: to the students that soon will form part of the sector.

The gala of prizes celebrated in the frame of an Olfactory Dinner, accompanied of an orchestra and with the menu elaborated by a virtuoso chef, Daviod Piot and the perfumer Rachel Binder, that assisted from Los Angeles.

The contest divides in two: sustainable perfumes and packaging sustainable.

Regarding the sustainable perfume, find the following categories with his corresponding winners:

  • Student category: Rondo Sandyakala of William S. Wijaya, from Indonesia, by his perfume of cool amber.
  • In the category of perfumer: Elixir of Heaven, of Anuja François Raja, from France, by his perfume of myrrh and incense.
  • In the category of mark: Suriname of Françoise Rapp, of France by Flowering Pharmacy USES.

Besides, I award a special prize awarded to 'White' by Sri Kudaravalli of the Indian, by his perfume of flowerly jasmine. The student created in 6 months while it made his study of French Natural Perfumery, Aromatherapy, Training of Smell and the business of Perfume in the Academy of Teachers IPF.

In matter of packaging sustainable, the victorious was Phantom, of Pierre Dinand, of Paco Rabanne.
