The perfumery, make-up and cosmetics chain of the LVMH group has incorporated two new brands to distribute in Spain and expands its catalogue.

The first brand is makeup, ‘Valentino Beauty’. This Italian brand is controlled since 2012 by Mayhoola for Investments, although it was founded in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti. Valentino and already stood out in the world of fashion and luxury, but it was not until May 2021 when Perpaolo Piccioli launched the first ‘Valentino Beauty’ make-up line. This debut in the world of colour cosmetics was closely linked to his career in the fashion industry, giving special prominence to lipstick and promoting an inclusive, evocative and unique aesthetic. This range of make-up included up to 40 shades of foundation, 50 different shades of red lips, eye shadows, eyeliners, mascara, eyebrow pencils and other products related to the world of make-up.

Sephora, on the other hand, has incorporated a second brand dedicated to hair care, ‘Amika’. Amika' is an American brand that was founded in 1997 and stands out from the more traditional brands. This brand gives special relevance to the use of high quality ingredients, to the performance of its products and to offer an attractive design in the packaging of its products. They stand out for their innovative products that meet the most specific needs of hair types and promise long-lasting, professional and effective results. Their star ingredient is sea buckthorn oil, also known as Obliphical oil, and their products are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and essential fatty acids to help strengthen, moisturise and repair hair damage.

LVMH, the French luxury conglomerate, closed last year on an upward trend with sales growth of 8.8% compared to 2022 and turnover of more than 86 million euros, although it failed to meet its revenue forecasts set for the end of 2022. Sephora recorded remarkable growth with a 20% increase in sales and a profit that rose to over 1,390 million euros.
