Vytrus Biotech will take part in an event organised by an NGO that claims the preservation of centenary forests. The Terrassa-based company will be present at an event organised by the non-profit organisation, Sèlvans, in a forest near Ribes de Freser.
On 25 October, Sèlvans, together with Vytrus Biotech and other organisations, will be holding a conference from 10:00 to 13:00 that seeks to collaborate with private companies that want to deploy and improve their social, environmental and governance objectives. This event aims to highlight the Sustainable Development Goals and project the commitment of the companies represented.
For this immersive sponsorship event, Sèlvans proposes a minimum and a recommended level of sponsorship to the companies participating in the event. In this sponsorship, the participating companies can benefit by obtaining greater prestige, acquiring attractive audiovisual resources to promote, for example, the marketing areas of the companies, as well as other advantages offered in sponsorship. With the donations, Sèlvans promises to identify valuable forests that are in imminent danger of being cut down, ensure the health and conservation of these forests, define a programme for their preservation and promote the channelling of complementary economic resources and, above all, to be able to put this plan into action.
With this event, Sèlvans seeks to protect the little that remains of protected forests: together with the Generalitat de Catalunya, Sèlvans has diagnosed that the proportion of protected forests in Catalonia is just over 3%. Through this sponsorship action, participating companies such as Vytrus Biotech will be able to improve their social, environmental and governance objectives, as well as offset impacts such as land occupation and CO2 emissions.
The NGO has the support of various public bodies such as the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Diputació de Girona and the University of Girona, as well as business organisations such as Font Vella, Vytrus Biotech, Comercial Química Massó, the pharmaceutical company Grifols and the Caixa d'Enginyers Foundation.
