Vytrus Biotech receives Bronze Best Ingredient Award at in-cosmetics Korea

The Vytrus sales team was in charge of collecting the Best Ingredients Awards prize in which Photobiome™ has achieved the third position. The gala was held on 12 July at the fair. This event brings together the main key players in the cosmetics industry value chain on the Asian continent and is a place to find out which cosmetics trends are predominant in Asia and also globally. North Korea is the world's fifth largest exporter of cosmetics and beauty products.

Vytrus Biotech already managed to position itself among the top 10 finalists worldwide at the innovation awards of the in-cosmetics Global trade fair in Barcelona in March. On this occasion, Vytrus Biotech took third place and strengthens its position among the latest innovations launched on the market. Also, in April, the asset was recognised with the first prize at the BSB Innovation Awards, which are held in Germany and promote the global dissemination of knowledge. 

Photobiome™ helps the skin's microbiota to photoprotect itself, protecting and nourishing bacteria, as well as modulating the release of its own natural photo-defence molecules that improve the signs of the skin's photo-ageing process. It is a 100% natural active ingredient derived from pomegranate and cotton stem cells from desert and semi-arid regions of the Near and Middle East. This active ingredient can be used in antioxidant preventive and treatment formulations, photo-ageing targeted treatments, wrinkle products (crow's feet, nasolabial, eye contour), preventive and repairing sun formulas and treatments to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

The company based in the Catalan town of Terrassa had a turnover of 3.7 million euros in 2022, an increase of 31% compared to the previous year in 2021. Vytrus Biotech posted a net profit of 605,000 euros, which was also up on the previous year, by 34%. The company dedicated to assets and ingredients continues to grow and is present in 33 countries on five continents and has on its roadmap international expansion to increase that 66% of sales that occur outside Spanish territory.
