Coty continues to close licensing deals. Just a week ago, it announced that it was maintaining its contract with the sports brand Adidas. On 22 August, the American luxury conglomerate made it official that it was renewing its licence with Marc Jacobs International, which it will bring back into the beauty world.

Coty, which has already had the Marc Jacobs perfume licence for several years, will now also manufacture, distribute and market the beauty line. Coty CEO Sue Nabi explained that this is a long-lasting partnership with great potential.

"Through its partnership with Coty, Marc Jacobs perfumes have achieved great success, growing to become one of the top 10 women's fragrances worldwide, thanks to the iconic Daisy Marc Jacobs and Perfect Marc Jacobs franchises. The rebirth of the Marc Jacobs cosmetics portfolio, now under Coty, is being eagerly awaited by consumers around the world who have been fighting for its return. This agreement reinforces Coty's position as a go-to partner for international fashion houses and brands that share our ambition to create leading beauty portfolios," said Sue Nabi.

In addition to powering and creating the Marc Jacobs beauty line, the agreement between Coty and the brand includes its e-commerce presence through LazMall, a strong e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia.

Eric Marechalle, Marc Jacobs' international CEO, explained that the company wants to continue to offer Marc's creative vision and has decided to venture back into the beauty segment after consumers were insistent on its return. Marc Jacobs had previously explored the beauty sector in a collaboration with Kendo Brands that expired in 2021.
