Inditex achieves record profits in Marta Ortega's first term as CEO

The Spanish textile giant closed the year 2022 with profits of 4.130 billion euros

The past 15 March, through a press release and a previous appearance of the CEO, Óscar García Maceiras, presented the gratifying results obtained by Inditex in 2022.

As it indicates in the own communiqué issued by the company, the total figure of sales rose until 32.569 million euros, what supposes an increase of 17,5% with regard to the year 2021. The transactions increased in all the geographic areas, so much in the on-line trade, as in the physical points of sale and in all the concepts (all the marks that belong to the group Inditex.)

From Inditex, indicate that the step to the differentiation of the shops that belong to the company has supposed a key piece to attain these figures. In how much to the EBITDA also attained an increase of until 8.649 million euros, and an EBIT, of 5.520 million euros. The profit before taxes rose until the 5.358 million euros. With regard to the net profit, grew 27% with regard to the results of 2021, and enciphered in 4.130 million euros.

Some of the notable data that leaves Inditex in it press release, is that in 2022 Inditex opened new points of sale in 33 different markets with 201 openings, 186 reforms, of the which 94 were enlargements of shops and 349 absorptions.
