The 2022 Digital Beauty Awards already have winners

The event held at La Pedrera in Barcelona welcomed more than 200 attendees from the beauty sector

The second edition of the Digital Beauty Awards celebrated yesterday in La Pedrera of Barcelona, and already has his winners. The event, that celebrated in this emblematic and glorious location of the centre of the city, received more than 300 candidatures in which an expert jury faced up to the arduous task to choose to the nine better for each one of the twelve categories. In total, yesterday were rewarded a total of 32 companies and professional, in addition to the awards, saw recognised his incessant and innovative work in the sector beauty.

The jury that has evaluated the candidatures was formed by experts in digitalisation, e-commerce, marketing and communication in the sector of the beauty. In this second edition of the DBA, incorporated new members, as for example, José Carlos Cortizo, of Product Hakers, Gema Herrerías, of the sector of the beauty or Gabriel Federici, of Mintel. Also they premiered like members of this jury, professionals of the sector of the communication, as Silvia Martín of La Vaguardia, and Jaime of Haro of IP Mark.

The gala initiated at 19:00h of the afternoon, in an event presented by the General Manager Beauty Cluster, and Director of the Digital Beauty Awards, Ivan Borrego, the one who, with help of the different professionals of the sector, delivered the awards to the rewarded. Iván appreciated the assistance and the projects so talentosos and ambitious that exposed and encouraged to the companies to be continue innovating. Also it did a small 'spoiler' with regard to the next edition: it will be on 6 July 2023.

This edition included some new developments compared to last year the incorporation of 3 honorary awards, which were them delivered to Montse Martí, CEO of MartiDerm, Álex Vallbona, General Manager Europe and Global Fashion Brands in Techstyle and to Silvia Martín, journalist of beauty in The Avant-garde. Another peculiarity, was the creation of two new categories devoted and focused to retail and sustainability, went others of the 'novelties' of the gala: "Best sustainable digital innovation in the beauty sector" and "Best digital iniciative in the point of sale". In "Better influencer of beauty", the system of votes to choose to the awarded was different and also took into account the vote of the public, in addition to the vote of the jury and of the industry.

With the achievement of 5 awards, AirParfum and Puig, put the brooch of gold to the day of yesterday. Guillem Oña, CEO of AirParfum went up to the stage in three occasions to collect 3 awards that awarded to AirParfum the number 1 in "Best digital innovation", "Best digital transformation" and "Best digital iniciative in the point of sale". Camila Tomas was chosen as "Best digital director".

  • Best digital brand award: FOREO, Lush and GHD.
  • Best digital director award: Camila Tomas, Chen Yue, Gerardo Cañellas and Marta Panera (tied for votes).
  • Best digital marketing campaing award: Bioderma, Batiste, Sephora y Cantabria Labs (tied for votes).
  • Best e-commerce award: Perfume's Club, Atida/Mifarma and 5th Avenue.
  • Best new e-commerce award: Anne Möller, Germaine De Capuccini and Atashi.
  • Best digital startup award: Imtant Cosmeceutics, Scentmate and Innia Beauty.
  • Best digital innovation award: AirParfum, BASF and Modiface.
  • Best digital transformation award: AirParfum, DKSH and Phergal.
  • Best sustainable innovation award: AirParfum, Envaselia and Grupo Caher.
  • Best digital initiative in the point of sale award: AirParfum 2.0, Carol Bruguera and Trison/Primor.
  • Best professional divulger award: Marián García, Verónica Vivas and Laura Bey.
  • Best influencer award: Leticia Sánchez. Amparo Violero and Álvaro Platón.
