Provital has organized 'The Rising Stars Challenge' a contest devoted only and exclusively to students of cosmetic formulation. With the aim to give the necessary impulse to the career of the youngsters' formulators, the company devoted to the ingredients and active in the cosmetic sector has created this initiative for all the students around the world that have training related to the field of the cosmetic.
An opportunity for the youngsters' formulators
As explained to us Rubí Zamudio (Global Product Manager of Provital) and Siham Bouhrir (Global Marketing Manager of the company), 'The Rising Stars Challenge' treats an initiative of international character, which will take into account the creativity, knowledge, and the originality of the student to the hour to create his cosmetic formula. Although the participant will have some freedom to the hour to elaborate on his product, will have some common parameters that will have to fulfil, since it will assign them an ingredient that of compulsory way will be present in the formula. The main subject for this edition of the contest is: "Last tendencies in the world".
The candidate will have to present a technical index card that will specify what consists of his/her project to be evaluated later. The official language of the contest is English and the register is totally free. Some of the requirements and rules that have to take into account at the moment to participate are the following:
- The composition will have to include the product of Provital that has been assigned to the student.
- The formula will have to contain a minimum of 90% of natural ingredients.
- The packaging is totally free, to the taste of the student, but will value positively that it was sustainable.
- The form of the cosmetic product will be totally free for the election of the candidate.
- It will value positively the design of formulations minimalists.
An international signpost of experts will decide which are formulations selected. In total, will be 39 proposals that will arrive at the final (3 by the 13 subcategories that compose this contest). The international jury will select the winner for each subcategory and these will be the 13 finalists whose formulations will include in the next catalogs of 2023. Finally, the same jury will decide who is the winner, and the second and the third rewards of these 13 are awarded independently of the subcategory to which belong.
A jury that will have an arduous task and that is composed of excellent professionals, as explained Siham: "The student will be evaluated by an international jury, experts in his different areas and awards a degree of professionalization and veracity, since it is an external committee to Provital (...) The winner will receive a diploma in which they will appear the members of the jury and this gives them a lot of visibility in their curriculum to the hour to look for employment. It is a form to help the students and to the futures formulators."
