Trump indirectly stirs up Europe. Donald Trump's tariff policy continues to cause devastating effects on the economy. The United States has imposed tariffs of 145% on China, which becomes a very serious problem for selling to the United States. Now, China is looking for a new destination.

From economic media such as El Economista, they explain that in Beijing there is fear of facing increasing trade barriers in the US market. Now, Europe could become the destination for these products and could have an impact on companies operating in Spain. The prices at which these products would arrive would not only be cheap, but, as described by El Economista, would become a real bargain.

China, with the election of Donald Trump to lead the American country, had already contemplated that he would establish a protectionist policy and prevent, or at least reduce, the number of imports from the Chinese country. For this reason, China is implementing a plan already conceived months ago and that is that the destination of these exports could be Europe.

Therefore, European consumers could benefit from lower prices in the short term from Chinese goods, on the other hand, this could lead to a decrease in the competitiveness of local industries and lead to job losses and business closures, as explained by El Economista. It is for this reason that the European Union is now at a crossroads in search of a balance between trade openness and the protection of its strategic sectors.

The European Commission is studying the implementation of emergency measures with the aim of protecting its markets. One of them could be the approval of tariffs imposed on Asian products on products that are diverted to Europe due to US trade barriers.
