Although it has not yet arrived in Spain, TikTok Shop is a reality in other regions and countries. The rise of social media selling is only a matter of time. And especially if we talk about TikTok, the social network par excellence for products and trends related to the world of cosmetics and beauty. 

WWD has published a report by Charm.io, the ecommerce brand database, citing the brands with the most purchases on TikTok Shop in the United States. Tarte Cosmetics leads the ranking. The cosmetics brand entered TikTok SHop in September 2023 and in 2024 has managed to collect more than $21.5 million in sales through the platform. 

With the budding interest in the benefits of Ayurveda, Ayurvedic product brand GuruNanda has seen its sales boost to over $14 million in sales on TikTok Shop. 

According to the report published by Charm.io, in third position, the brand with the highest sales in TikTok Shop has been WavyTalk, with more than 12 million dollars, and the best-selling product of this brand has been its blusher, a product that has been a trend in TikTok for several years thanks to the versatility of its formats: liquid, stick, powder, dyes? TheBeachwaver Co. is in fourth position with 11.3 million dollars, Canvas Beauty Brand is in fifth position, and its product has been Body Glaze, after joining the ‘glaze skin’ trend. Closing the list are brands that, although they have lost presence on TikTok over the years, are still top of mind for consumers, especially the younger generation: The Ordinary. The DECIEM brand has almost $8 million in sales on TikTok Shop. 

Spain expects TikTok to incorporate this new functionality within the platform by the end of 2024 and it is expected to be a great advantage for both brands and content creators, which will have a greater reach and will allow them to maximise their sales among their communities. Bloomberg announced it last July, and they point out that after several extensions, October could be the definitive date.
