Artificial intelligence and talent

The other day, a colleague of profession that always is to the last, initiated me in the wonders of the digital creation through the  platform of open AI call Dall·and (https://openai.com/dall-e-2/). Taking into account my personality a so much obsessive, happened me an hour of clock doing proofs, surprised with the results.

Aïda Massana x Dall·And

This harmless web page did that my capacities saw entirely up to date:

Suddenly I myself, an inept in the field of visual arts, could create any work of art of any genre pictorial or digital, of any theme with a result, much less, interesting

In fact, this same colleague said me that said application already is being used to illustrate books and accounts. Obviously, also it has been used to illustrate this article.

The case is that after the high came me the reality of hit: I could, from now and thanks to the artificial intelligence, create any work of art. I do not go to go in in this article to speak on the real value of these works or to initiate a debate on the creativity or the market of the art, this reserve it for another occasion.

What himself would like me underline is the subject of the capacities.

The new technologies allow us be small "super men" with a lot of more capacities of which could cultivate in a life if we learnt them to the old-fashioned way

Like this, a same person can learn to design a car, do home-made bread, coordinate a macroevent, learn to sew, do a web page, go up a podcast to Spotify or learn one thousand childish songs in a lapse relatively cut of time. The technologies facilitate us the life. If we know them use, give us one thousand tentacles with which can make tasks shoot and very interesting without the need to show any type of mastery when doing it. It is easier to make a mistake, less costly and, therefore, learn before and advance more and better.

BUT (there's always a but) lamentably, owing to the same, your work goes to disappear. And I do not say it only I. The World-wide Forum predicted that for 2025 will have disappeared 85 million jobs

(This translates in that this title that follows to your name, form in a lovely card that look with care nd pride, is likely that leave to exist in very little time. Of I throw, the card in yes, if still you use it, is allocated to disappear in spite of the inexplicable resistance that presents in front of the most technological alternatives. I save mine with a lot of affection.)

Already we are seeing how a lot of places of work that until does a decade were, by definition, "humans", cover at present with intelligent algorithms that offer more performance to much less cost. I, that am a nostalgic, was used to to think that this technification of the jobs was simply a modern tragedy. I, that still write letters manually. I, that follow using the Polaroid of my grandmother.

Well. I allowed me change of opinion. Now I think that, if we were able of rethink all the labour system, probably this robotization of the places of work was the best that can happen him to the humanity. As long as we use this advantage for, simply, work less and do it of different form.

On working less, there are numerous studies that talk about the benefits at all levels: physical health, mental health, social welfare, family reconciliation, energy savings... and, the best, not only talk about it, but the first pilot tests throw hope in the results

In United Kingdom initiated the pioneering program www.4dayweek.co.uk that pleads for to happen of a working time of five to one of four days to the week, with reduction of hours of work. After making pilot proofs by all the country and make the pertinent surveys, concluded that 78% of the leaders of these 70 companies that changed to schedules of four days affirm that his transition was "good" or did not have problems. Only 2% found it challenging. And the majority (88%) said that they were working well. On the other hand, 49% said that the productivity had improved while 46% ensured that it has remained stable. That is to say, that 95% surrendered the same or better that working five days[1].

As for working differently, I hope that by implementing working days more consistent with human needs and taking into account those technological aids that allow us to "get rid" of certain jobs, we can create new dedicated profiles, in body and soul, to find creative solutions to problems we have as humanity; in our society; in our companies

And no. I do not speak of a "manager of sustainability". I speak of this place of work that still does not exist and does not fit with at all of what know, that is so revolutionary, new and necessary, that still costs us imagine it. How it would cost them to our great-great-grandparents understand the task of a programmer or of a neuroscientific. This same "magic" that is the mix between science, creativity and overcoming. A mix entirely human.

Perhaps only like this we can transform us in workers braver and divergent, less alienated with a system that does waters throughout. Perhaps like this we will be able to see a form to live like humanity that do not carry us to our own extinction. Perhaps this was the way. As it says the song: perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
