Dakar por la Vida is a sports project with social responsibility that was born in 2023 from the union of Rafael Lesmes, his team CUP 59 and the Fundación Carrera por la Vida. This project aims to raise awareness of breast cancer, the importance of its early detection and to draw attention to male breast cancer.
Laboratorios Ximart collaborates as a sponsor in this project by joining the cause to increase the visibility of breast cancer in women and men and thus promote research into this disease.
Dakar for Life 2024 raises funds and support for the Mente Rosa project, which offers psychological help to people affected by breast cancer through individual, group and family therapies, and for the Aderne project, which analyses the situation of breast cancer in men and the characteristics of this population, improving its diagnosis and treatment.
The Race for Life Foundation obtained the support of Think Pink Europe in 2023 for the Dakar for Life Project, giving media and social coverage to the initiative in 32 countries and making Dakar for Life an effective and efficient vehicle for raising awareness and sensitisation about breast cancer and the visibility of breast cancer in men.
Think Pink Europe is a partnership that brings together 32 European countries working together to join forces and efforts in the fight against breast cancer, improving the flow of information and promoting best practice in research and care.
