Wild Rain Cosmetics presents its new chemical exfoliant. Maktub becomes a total renewal experience.

Maktub fulfills up to three different functions:

  • Exfoliates and renews: removes dead cells and enhances cellular regeneration.
  • Depigments and unifies: blurs spots, marks, and uneven tone.
  • Illuminates and transforms: provides a natural, healthy, and radiant glow.

It contains 10% glycolic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugar cane, known for its exfoliating ability. Its small molecule allows it to penetrate the skin and dissolve the bonds between dead cells, promoting cellular renewal. This improves texture, brightens the skin, and helps reduce spots, fine lines, and acne. It also stimulates collagen production, contributing to firmer and younger-looking skin.

In its formula, there is also 1% tranexamic acid, a synthetic derivative of lysine with powerful depigmenting and anti-inflammatory properties. Its main function in skincare is to inhibit excessive melanin production, helping to treat and prevent spots, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (such as acne marks). Additionally, it strengthens the skin barrier and reduces sensitivity, making it ideal for skin prone to irritation.

It also contains 1% malic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from fruits like apple and pear. It is known for its gentle exfoliating action, helping to remove dead cells, improve skin texture, and promote cellular renewal. Unlike other AHAs like glycolic acid, malic acid has a larger molecule, which makes its penetration slower and less aggressive, making it ideal for sensitive skin. Additionally, it has moisturizing properties, helping to maintain skin hydration.

Also, 1% azelaic acid is a multifunctional active ingredient with depigmenting, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. It is extracted from grains like wheat, barley, and rye, and is ideal for treating conditions such as acne, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. It regulates sebum production, eliminates acne-causing bacteria, and reduces redness and inflammation. Additionally, it inhibits excessive melanin production, helping to diminish spots without sensitizing the skin. It is well tolerated by most skin types, even sensitive ones, and can be used both day and night.
