CPL Aromas, the fragrance house exclusively dedicated to fragrances, has released its Sustainability Report and Sustainability Highlights 2023, which highlight the company's continued dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
CPL Aromas has produced the report based on three pillars including:
- Environment: In 2023, CPL achieved 52% renewable electricity across its operations, a 51% absolute reduction in operational emissions and a 47% reduction in waste sent to landfill per tonne from 2018.
- Product Innovation: The Sustainability 2023 report emphasises CPL's focus on developing environmentally friendly fragrance solutions for its customers. The company achieved 82.37% average biodegradability in its creations and 55.99% average Fragrance Index score.
- Sustainable Sourcing: CPL Aromas recognises the importance of responsible sourcing and has made significant progress in promoting sustainable practices within its supply chain. The company has assessed 57% of its supply chain on its commitments to sustainability with over 60 responsibly sourced ingredients in its palette and 19 recycled.
- Community Engagement: CPL Aromas actively engages with local communities to generate positive social impact.
- The report highlights the company's support of various community projects, including education and vocational training initiatives, with the aim of improving and empowering people within the fragrance industry.
This is the third consecutive year that CPL has achieved Ecovadis Platinum Certification, placing CPL in the top 1% of companies assessed in 2023.
