Scentmate® by dsm-firmenich and Sowvital have teamed up for the launch of a new collection of scented candles designed to evoke endearing moments related to flowers and English gardens. To this end, they have collaborated with the prestigious fragrance consultant Isabelle van Ingen.
Sowvital and Scentmate's work together takes an innovative approach, highlighting the power of perfume to unlock memories and connect emotionally with the natural world. By creating fragrances that reference universal floral moments, an immersive sensory experience is offered that captures the ephemeral beauty of flowers in full bloom and the ambience of English gardens and brings them into the home.
For Isabelle van Ingen, ‘our goal with each fragrance was to distil the essence of specific floral moments that resonate deeply in our memories’. Sebastien Lacouture, perfumer at Scentmate by dsm-firmenich, says the aim was for ‘these candles to inspire nostalgia, while offering a modern twist on classic floral profiles’.
Four distinctive scents
Each fragrance has been meticulously crafted by Scentmate to align with Sowvital's vision of timeless floral elegance and is designed to be as multifaceted as the memories it seeks to evoke.
- Unfurling Flora –A fragrance reminiscent of delicate buds as they bloom, evoking the anticipation and excitement of spring's arrival in the garden.
- Orange Blossom - Radiating the warm, sunny scent of orange blossom, this candle is an ode to light and tranquillity.
- English Rose - An enduring fragrance that evokes memories of English heritage gardens, filled with the lush, layered scent of roses in bloom.
- Blooming Pear - A bright and inviting fragrance that evokes the warmth of orchards and the freshness of seasonal flowers.
Leslie David Studio Handcrafted Case
To enhance the sensory appeal, each candle is presented in a case carefully designed by the Parisian Leslie David Studio. The boxes are printed on special Fedrigoni paper, which not only offers a tactile and luxurious quality, but also features intricate embossing to reflect the botanical themes of the candles.
Every detail has been carefully considered, from the fragrance to the packaging, underlining both companies' commitment to quality.
